A custom brace is made from a cast taken directly from the effected limb of yourpet. From the cast we custom design and fabricate the brace or prosthesis to address the type and severity of the injury/diagnosis to optimally fit and restore mobility to your pet.

Since the brace or prosthesis is made directly from a mold/cast of your pet maximum support, stability and suspension is achieved. Off-the-shelf or premade orthosis simply do not fit as well thus fit, function, support and suspension are compromised.
If the injury is left untreated, can and often leads to further injuries to the effected limb and possibly injury to the remaining unaffected limbs and possibly the spine. Unfortunately, this often leads to pain, lesser activity, weight gain and a general decline in the quality of life of your pet.

Some breeds are more susceptible to certain injuries and the same injury to the same limb is hard to predict secondary to the type of injury, severity of the injury and length of time from injury to treatment, overall health and weight of the animal.

Although, studies have shown that about half of the dogs that rupture the CCL on one leg will develop the condition in the opposite leg. This is especially true if left untreated.

Since our products are custom fit to meet your pet’s needs, they are non-refundable.

Yes, adjustments are offered at no charge for the first year.   Straps and joints are will wear out over time but can be replaced for a small fee.

This is a question for your veterinarian. Although a brace prior to surgery may prevent further injury to affected limb and reduce strain to the unaffected limbs while awaiting surgery.

  • This is a decision between you and your veterinarian.
  • Although a brace is commonly considered or indicated to limit range of motion during the healing process and increase ROM as your pet progresses in healing.  
  • The most common injury to dogs is to the CCL, the equivalent to the ACL in a human. Just like as in a human this will not heal on its own and either surgery or a brace or combination fi the two may be required.

We do not require your animal to be shaved or trimmed. The entire process is painless and we go to great lengths to ensure comfort and the least amount of stress to your pet as possible

For the majority of products, the process(including casting and modifying) will take anywhere between 5-7 business days plus shipping.

  • Our products are made to last the life of your pet under normal wear and tear. The only parts of the brace/prosthesis that will need replaced over time are the joints, straps and in some cases the padding.
  • Although, the fit of the device is can be affected by significant weight gain or weight loss.
We offer a lifetime warranty on all products except joints and straps.

We require half of the cost up front and is non-refundable. The remainder will be due upon completion.
